Okay - I know it has been a long, long time since the last newsletter. My apologies.
As you know by now the Brian Conley Show on ITV was a great success and plans are afoot for another series next year. A great range of guests were assembled and Brian had a lot of fun. Did you see him wander onto the set of 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire'? and answer some questions and how about that 'through the keyhole' sequence with Loyd Grossman where Paul McKenna and Musical Director Steve Brown were ensconsed in the Conley home keeping Anne-Marie company. Brian had no idea the crew were in his house. With split second timing location director Chris Cottam and his assistant Simon waited for Brian to drive off to the studio and then hot footed round the corner with their two 'stars'. The whole thing was kept top secret and Brian's face was a picture when all was revealed.
Just a week after he completed the series he managed to fit in a guest appearance on SMTV with Cat Deeley and Louise. As this is a live show there was a lot of rushing about - quick changes - and laughs galore. He introduced Dangerous Brian and Nick Frisbee with Larry the Loafer into proceedings, as well as keeping goal against Jamie Redknapp.
Now he's on the road again with his own show and 'tearing them up' all over the place. This is an extremely busy period as he is also recording the voices for a brand new cartoon series during the day and rushing round the country for his evening shows.
Brian is also recording a one off show for television in October - something he is really looking forward to.
In November he will be starting rehearsals for pantomime in Birmingham. This will be the first time he has ever played Dick Whittington - the only pantomime character, by the way, who is based on a real person. It is very funny to watch peoples faces when I tell them - 'You must go to Birmingham to see Brian's Dick'.
Like the Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre - this website is soon to undergo major re-furbishment. I will definitely be able to keep the newsletters more regular now and thank you all for your comments regarding the site. Brian himself is going to be more involved with it. There are exciting times ahead!
