Hello there and welcome to BC News 1 - loads of apologies for taking so long to get this out to you. Thanks for being so patient.
Wow! What a year it has been for Brian. He is currently working on his fifth feature film! Yes - Five big cinema films on a silver screen near you soon! More about those in a minute.
First - let me tell you that BC is recording a new album for release next year. He could be singing with a few special guests but it is all hush hush at the moment. I will try to glean some more information as soon as possible and let you know via the website.
Brian has also recorded the first episode of the third series of The Grimleys - for Channel Four. What a great character Doug Digby is. There is no confirmation of scheduling for this series yet and I cannot tell you what happens in the new series. Brian has told me - but I am sworn to secrecy!
I had lunch last week with John Fisher, the Executive Producer of the Brian Conley Show which was aired through March and April of 2000. The new series is planned for a similar period next year. Same type of format - gags - chat and music and some great guests are being lined up.
Now to those films!
In 'Arthur's Dyke' Brian plays Pauline Quirke's husband! It is set in Wales - no release date yet.
Equilibrium' took Brian on location to Berlin and the film also stars Sean Bean.
'Hotel' is a spoof detective feature for Channel Five. Also featured are Lee Majors and Art Malik.
In 'Dreams' Brian plays a chat show host! (So that's why he did the TV series!) A lot of this production was shot in Sheffield and I warn you BC looks quite different to how we know and love him!
Actually I have no release dates for any of these at the moment and remember titles can change before they eventualy hit our local cinemas.
'Circus' - in which Brian played gangster Bruno, should be out on DVD by now. If you did not se his brilliant portrayal of the sadistic crime boss - grab it now.
Brian should get a few days off to spend Christmas with his family but he asked me to pass on his best wishes to you for a very happy Yuletide and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
Keep watching the Website as some new things are being added as we speak!
Thanks for your interest.
